He frowned as she confessed how poor she was. He shook his head. This wasn't a good thing. He didn't want an assistant who could fall unconscious at any moment. And he cared for the well being of the little girl as well, at this age it wouldn't be good to skip a meal.
He help her stand up and looked at her head. "You're gonna have a bump." he said though it wasn't necessary. he went to his desk and pulled out some aspirin giving her the bottle in case she'd want one. "Second one." he said, showing her where he was keeping it. "You can take one whenever you need one, I won't mind." he added.
"Now what about returning to the cafeteria and have a meal. Unless you'd prefer a restaurant, it's up to you. I'll pay for now it's no problem." he said crossing his desk to walk back to them.

She took the bottle from him and took a couple of the small pills, chasing them down with some water from her water bottle. She felt pathetic now, having fainted like that and everything. She wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want her anymore because of what just happened. After all, who would want an assistant who might faint on the job a lot?
She looked over at Cynthia then at Perry, wondering which option might be better for her daughter. She sighed gently, sitting down on one of the desks. "I don't know, I don't really care" she said with a soft shrug, feeling more low and pathetic than she did before. "You choose."

He looked down at the little girl. "Well... the food at the cafeteria is half the time not edible. However, I know a restaurant not too far from here, very good for families with games for children and all. It's not the most healthy food but it should work." he proposed. He thought that Cynthia might want to go play if they were to talk so this restaurant was probably the best.
"And of course if you have any question regarding the job you can ask them on the way and at the restaurant." he said as they walked them out of the classroom. He locked the door behind him. "Oh yes, the key for the room, I have the one for you." he said looking in his pockets and bringing it out giving it to her. He walked outside of the school, to get to his car, opening the door for them.

She sighed lightly, taking Cynthia's hand and leading her out of the room. She took the key from him and followed him, climbing into the car after putting Cynthia in the back seat. She sighed gently, leaning her head against the window next to her. She still wasn't feeling well, but maybe some food would help her.
When he got around, Jennifer sighed gently, looking at him. "So...its a little odd to be around you again" she said softly, looking down. "I mean, its been so long."

When he climbed in the car he told her how weird it was. He looked at her and sighed. "I know. A very long time indeed. If you prefer not to work here, you can tell, if you find it too weird. I'd understand. But still let me pay you a meal." he said. He knew the cookie and the sugar was good for a while but she'd need more in her body so was the little girl.
He drove to the restaurant, about fifteen, twenty minutes from the school. "How come you chose science as a career, you didn't seem all that fond of it as I recall?" he asked her as he stopped the engine.

She looked at him. "No its fine. Its just going to take some time before I can adjust to being around you again. I thought when you left that you didn't want to be friends with me anymore" she said softly, running her hand back through her hair, looking over at him once more.
When he asked her that question, Jennifer sighed lightly. "It was the only job that I could find available. Everything else is just....not right for me to do what with having a daughter and all" she said gently, looking through the mirror back at Cynthia. "Why did you need an assistant?"

He cleared his throat not feeling all too well when she said he left. He never really told her why he left. Well, maybe he could now, but not in presence of her girl, even if she was probably too young to understand.
"I see..." he said as she explained why she took a job as a science teacher assistant. He shrugged at her question. "Oh well you know, it's kind of hard keeping an eye on the dangerous products, the material, the students, get things arrive in time and fresh when you order them, do correction and all those stuff. I thought an assistant could be good. I don,t need help teaching I just need help for the rest, to keep everything working to actually have classes." he explained, climbing off the car.

She nodded, climbing out of the car. She opened the back door and pulled Cynthia out, holding her in her arms. She followed him to the restaurant, opening the door and walking inside. "Well I guess I can handle doing just that. As long as I don't have to teach, I'm not exactly the best teacher when it comes to Science" she said with a soft laugh.
Looking around, Jennifer put Cynthia down and watched as she ran over to the toys, starting to play. Jennifer sighed gently, running her hand through her hair again. "This place looks interesting."

He had a small smile at her comment of this place. "I used to bring my girl here. Until she decided she was too old of course." he said with the same smile on his face. He brought her to the counter so she could see all the things they were selling. "I know most of it is junk food but it's still better than no food at all." he said. He pointed a few things he knew were better and such in case she wanted a more decent meal for Cynthia since it seemed like if you wanted something healthy it was easier to have it in the children's menu.

She took a few things and looked around, wondering where Cynthia had gotten off to. She walked over to her and picked her up, taking her back to where Perry was. She let Cynthia choose a few more things, then let her go back to playing. Jennifer choose a few things for herself then turned, looking up at him. "Certainly an odd selection" she said with a smile.

He had a smile but shook his head. "I think it's quite fine." he said with a soft laugh. he went to the counter girl and ordered for the threee of them, having Jennifer close in case he was forgetting something. He paid and waited a few minutes to have everything arrive.
He took one plate giving the one with her daughter's stuff in and walked to the eating area to find a table not too far from where Cynthia was playing. He sat there and seperated the things that were ehrs to his keeping the tray in the middle of the table not using it. "It must be hard sometimes to have a daughter like this no? I mean being alone to raise her and pay for the expense. I know it was hell getting money after paying for her baby food and diapers and after it's the clothes cause they keep growing up without stopping it seems. Well, now she still costs me a lot but it's because she has quite an expensive sense of taste."
